New Cocktails

We have killed our first bottle of infused vodka! The Mad Scientician™ Caramel vodka is the first experiment to be fully consumed. We'll be making another batch of it this weekend, along with the next brand-new experiment. The coffee vodka will probably be the next to go; we've already created another pre-emptive batch of that.

We have two new cocktails involving the caramel vodka, both of which we found delicious.

Caramello Martini

With ice, shake:
2 oz. Mad Scientician™ caramel vodka
2 oz. Crème de Cacao

This drink tastes just like a Cadbury Caramello. Delicious.

Untitled Cocktail #1

This one we're having some difficulty coming up with a name for. We're open to suggestions.

With ice, shake:
1 oz. Mad Scientician™ caramel vodka
1 oz. Mad Scientician™ vanilla vodka
1 oz. Crème de Cacao
1 oz. Irish cream

We weren't sure if this one could beat the Caramello, but it did, hands down. The flavor is similar, but has much more depth, primarily due to the vanilla.

I don't know if you'd like suggestions, but I'm going to provide you with one anyways. Instead of using creme de Cacao you could make chocolate vodka much like you made your coffee vodka, but with cocoa nibs, you should be able to get these at a fancy grocery store. Cocoa nibs are a part of the cocoa bean and they come pre-roasted. They're pretty tasty too.

Suggestions and advice are always welcome. And chocolate vodka is something we've been wanting to do for a while, it is definitely in the lineup. We're still working on the details, though. I haven't seen these cocoa nibs anywhere, but I will keep looking.

You could call your untitled cocktail the Caramello Killer, since it's the hands-down winner..

The best chocolate vodka I have ever had was simply a whole bunch of Lindt 85% dark chocolate dumped in a bottle of vodka. Forgotten about...remebered...intentionally forgotten about then drunk the next day off.

It was good.

I am a new reader, and I`ve been peridically reading from past to present. On your untitled Cocktail #1, it`s very interesting and I would love to try the flavor, it almost seemes like a spiked mocha.
Well, Good luck on the site, it is very interesting, I might try to make infusions later on because of this.
